Super Demanding Ab Exercises
Cross Crunch ab workouts are great variations of the traditional abdominal crunch. It can be adjusted to increase the tension of contraction of the oblique midsection muscles by putting a variation on your leg position, by crossing one of your legs over to the other, before doing the movements in your ab workouts.
Begin your ab workouts by lying on the floor with your back firmly against it. Bend both of your knees, but this time let your left foot rest flat and firm against the floor. Then with your right knee also bent, move your right foot and cross it over to left knee. While in the ideal position to do your cross crunch ab workouts, make sure that your neck and your head must be relaxed, while your left hand is placed at the side of your head and your right hand is placed on the left side of your midsection area.
Continue your basic-level ab workouts by gradually curling your upper torso way up, putting in a slight twisting movement while you are doing it, and bring your left shoulder close towards your right knee. Then slowly ease your upper body towards the floor by unwinding or untwisting your torso and then gradually lowering it.
As soon as your shoulder touches the floor, relax a bit, and repeat your ab workouts for the prescribed number of movements. After you have completed one set on your left side, shift your body to your right side and continue the same movements in your ab workouts as you did with the previous side. Make sure that you put your free hand over the other side of your midsection area when you do your ab workouts, the side which is on the opposite of that hand, and just below the rib cage. Be sure that you also twist your entire torso in the process of your ab workouts, and not just moving your elbow across your body.
