White flour and sugar are really the other no no’s. Snack foods made with white flour are not good even if they say no fat. They are what is called empty calorie foods. Not all fats are bad for you. Fats in nuts, seeds, peanuts and some vegetables like avocados are good. Fish oils are very good for you. Lean beef, pork and skinless chicken are good too. These foods are very good sources for protein. All you have to do is keep your portions down to a good common sense size. Nuts and seeds are really high in calories, so if you eat them in larger amounts you will stop loosing weight all together or start gaining.

Vegetables are always a good choice to eat. They are full of minerals and vitamins that you need. If you can get locally grow vegetables they will be fresher than trucked in ones. But there are some people saying that the fresh frozen vegetables have the most nutrition in them. In most cases the vegetables are frozen in 2 hours after being harvested.

Legumes are peas, peanuts, beans and lentils. They are high in protein and are a very good choice to eat instead of meats. A vegetarian favorite. They also are high in fiber and magnesium, iron, zinc, folate and potassium. No cholesterol. They are very cheap to buy also.

Fruits can give your sweet tooth a treat without all of the sugar of processed snack foods. The less sugar you eat the better. Remember when you want to eat canned fruit that you get it in 100% fruit juice or water and not in syrup.

Together fruits and vegetables are a very good sourch of fiber. Fiber will help you fill full longer to start out with. Then it will help you stay good and clean on the inside also. If you have any trouble with constipation eat high fiber foods. This will give you an softer and bulky stool. You will pass it easier and it will also keep your intestine cleaner.

This is the group of foods that you should eat in order to loss the weight. Try to eat 4 to 6 meals of these a day with mixing them up as for what you like. You can eat carbohydrates along with your proteins. Just remember that you want to eat slowly and stop eating when you just begin to feel satisfied.
